College Farm Boys Endowed Scholarship

The College Farm Boys Endowed Scholarship was established by representatives of the former SHSU College Farm Boys, Dale Barbee and Billy C. Miller, in honor and in memory of the College Farm Boys. Three decades after Sam Houston Normal Institute was founded, agriculture was added to the curriculum. A college farm was soon added to complement classroom instruction. Students who worked on the farm became known as College Farm Boys.
