The Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution Endowed Scholarship for Teacher Education was established by the Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Inc., to commemorate the 200th birthday of Texas’ greatest hero, General Sam Houston, to provide financial assistance to deserving students pursuing degrees in teacher education.
