Franklin Wayne Ruda Memorial Scholarship

The Franklin Wayne Ruda Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Franklin Wayne Ruda, who was born on June 12, 2023, and passed away the following day. Though his life was brief, Franklin’s presence profoundly impacted his family and loved ones, strengthening their bond, deepening their faith, and reinforcing their foundation of love. This scholarship also serves as a tribute to the exceptional nursing professionals whose compassion, professionalism, and unwavering care provided comfort during an unimaginably difficult time. In recognition of their vital role, the scholarship will be awarded to nursing students who aspire to specialize in Neo-Natal Intensive Care (NICU) Nursing, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nursing, Labor & Delivery Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, or Perinatal Nursing. Through this award, Franklin’s legacy will inspire future nurses to provide the same level of empathy and excellence that made such a difference in his family’s life.
