Mary Cullum Roberts Endowed Scholarship

Mary Roberts was a first-generation college student who faced significant financial challenges while pursuing her education. Coming from a family with limited financial resources, Mary was unaware of available financial aid options at the time. Determined to earn her degree, she took time away from school to work and save enough money to return and complete her education. Mary’s experience shaped her belief that, given today’s rising tuition costs, it is nearly impossible for students who face financial barriers to put themselves through college without financial assistance. Her commitment to helping students overcome these barriers inspired the creation of this scholarship, ensuring that first-generation college students have access to financial support.
