Derrick E. Reiner Fellowship in Banking and Wealth Management Scholarship

Mr. Reiner earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Sam Houston State University’s College of Business Administration in 2018, graduating magna cum laude with multiple honors, including the Outstanding Economics Senior Award and the Assam Scholarship in Monetary Economics. During his time at SHSU, he worked closely with professors on honors projects and volunteered as a student tutor—experiences he credits with shaping his academic and professional success. After earning his MBA with Certificates in Real Estate and Corporate Finance from the University of Houston, Mr. Reiner built an accomplished career in banking, wealth management, and private equity. In gratitude for the mentorship and spirit of excellence fostered at SHSU, he established the Reiner Fellowship to support future Bearkats pursuing business, economics, and finance—empowering them to achieve success and “build the world up” through knowledge, leadership, and service.
