Will & Bailee Ackerman Byler Endowed Scholarship

William Troy “Will” Byler Ill was born on April 21, 1995 in College Station, Texas, the youngest child of William Troy “Bill” Byler. Jr. and Kerri D. Jones Byler. Will loved anything and everything outdoors. He loved hunting and tending to his cattle, dogs and horses, and was involved in youth rodeo. Following in his father’s footsteps, Will attended SHSU and was a member of the rodeo team. Bailee Raye Ackerman was born on September 29, 1995 in Orange, Texas, the youngest child of Shane and Sharon Ackerman. Throughout her life, Bailee had a love for animals, rodeo, and people. Bailee was very involved in high school rodeo and FFA and competed on the SHSU rodeo team while attending Sam. When Will and Bailee met, their lives changed forever. They were soulmates from the beginning. They were inseparable. Bailee forever changed Will. She made his eyes brighter, his smiles and his already big dimples, even bigger. Will would do anything to make Bailee happy. Likewise, Will was Bailee’s world. He brought so much positivity and happiness to her life. Their mutual love for the Lord showed in their love for each other. Will proposed in December, 2017. Will and Bailee were married at the Uvalde ranch where he proposed on November 3,2018 in a fairy tale wedding. Their perfect marriage was too perfect for this broken world. On that same night, Will and Bailee left their earthly home in a tragic accident. Because of their undeniable love for the Lord, there is no question that their honeymoon was spent in their Heavenly home and life together will be eternal.
