Steed A. Smith Memorial Scholarship

Steed Arthur Smith attended SHSU and received his B.S. and M.A. degrees in mathematics. While at SHSU he became a Life Loyal Member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity where he made friends that lasted a lifetime. During that time he also met and married his wife of over 44 years, Eddene. After moving to San Antonio, Steed and Eddene returned to Huntsville, with their two sons, Steed and Judson, so that he could teach in the math and computer science department at SHSU. Eddene continued her teaching career in the Huntsville, Public Schools. He truly loved learning and being able to pass his knowledge on to others whether at school, at home, or on a jobsite.
