Justin and Ann Burnett Sigma Phi Epsilon Endowed Scholarship

Justin and Ann are both 2002 graduates of Sam Houston State University. After graduation, Ann became an elementary teacher and Justin began his career in supply chain management in the oil and gas sector. After a couple of years in Houston, the two relocated to Maracaibo Venezuela where they began living abroad working in oil and gas. Justin and Ann moved all over the world over the next several years from Indonesia to Azerbaijan and had their two children along the way. The couple now resides in Katy, Texas and are active in supporting SHSU with the Alumni Association Board of Directors and the College of Business Advisory council. Justin is from Pleasanton, Texas and Ann from Palacios, Texas. They have started this scholarship to give graduates of these two high schools an opportunity for financial assistance while attending SHSU. Justin is a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and served as President of the chapter at SHSU in 2001. This scholarship has been created in part to encourage incoming students to show an interest in joining a Greek fraternity or sorority as part of their University experience.
