J.B. & Kathryn Sallas Charitable Foundations Scholarship

J.B. and Kathryn Sallas were long time residents of Crockett, Houston County, Texas. They deeply appreciated the many friendships and acquaintances they made while living here. They both believed the strength of a community is only as strong as the people who make it up. As we all know, the future of all generations are our young people. It was their desire to repay the community of Crockett and Houston County, Texas, for the many benefits they received while living here. Also, they knew that it will be up to the young people of this city and county to make it a good place to live. The philosophy of this charitable foundation is: To assist the schools, churches, libraries, hospitals, etc. in Crockett and Houston County, Texas, and To help the young people in Crockett and Houston County, Texas, in not only getting an education, but to help them create a “balanced life” that develops qualities of leadership, morality and citizenship .
