Deborah Dailey Kincaid Memorial Elementary Education Endowed Scholarship

The Deborah Dailey Kincaid Memorial Elementary Education Scholarship was established by the family of the late Deborah Dailey Kincaid, a devoted elementary school teacher who lost her battle with cancer on July 26, 2007. Deborah (Debbie) had the desire to become a teacher from a very young age. She would round up neighborhood children to be part of her at home “school”. Debbie was a graduate of SHSU earning a degree in Elementary Education. She would go on to teach for almost 30 years, mainly at Lomax Elementary in LaPorte, Texas. Debbie loved teaching and it is the desire of the donor to assist students who have this same dedication to the elementary education field to achieve their goal.
