Ann Morgan Christian Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Beverly “Ann” Morgan was born in Huntsville, Texas on February 6, 1953. Words cannot begin to describe the kind-hearted, compassionate, hard ­working and independent woman she was. She was a remarkable person, always smiling and selfless to the very end. Ann loved life, but above all she loved her children and was an amazing mother. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1974 with a bachelor of science in Criminal Justice. After graduation, she enjoyed a successful career as a data programmer for TDCJ In 2003 she retired from TDCJ to carry on as a full-time cattle rancher. Ann was a lifetime member of the Walker County Fair Association where she served as a vice president and volunteer for many years. She served on the USDA Farm Service Agency Board for Walker County and the Walker County Ag Appraisal Board, she was an adult leader in the Walker County 4-ff, secretary/treasurer of the Buck Foster Cemetery Board, and assisted with numerous other community service organizations. Passionate about agriculture, Ann knew the importance of an education; and that education was the key to success. This scholarship was established in memory of Ann Morgan Christian, by her children, Kelsey and Colt, to provide financial assistance to selected students.
