Olive and Edgar May Educational Endowed Scholarship

The Olive and Edgar May Educational Scholarship was established by David E. and Dolores A. Haralson of Hobe Sound, Florida in memory of Olive and Edgar May, David’s grandparents. Olive Thornton May received her BA degree and a Permanent High School Certificate on August 26, 1949. Her major was in history and her minor in English. She also received a Master of Education in Elementary Education with a minor in history on August 24, 1956. On August 5, 1965, she received a Professional Elementary School Principal Certificate. She earned these degrees from Sam Houston State University.
