Pay It Forward Scholarship

The Pay It Forward scholarship is established by Noe and Mandy Negrete of Houston, Texas; two Bearkat alumni who not only fell in love with each other, but also with education. The Pay It Forward Scholarship was formed in 2022 to help SHSU students achieve higher education. Having both received scholarship aid as students, the donors now seek to help the next generation of COBA students. They ask that those first-generation or other financially strained recipients of these funds vow to “pay it forward” in the future.
