Sophie Williams Cloninger Library Science Endowed Scholarship

The Sophie Williams Cloninger Library Science Endowed Scholarship established by the Estate of Morris S. Cloninger, in memory of his first wife Sophie Williams Cloninger. Sophie earned her BA in English at Sam Houston State Teachers College. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide one or more annual scholarship awards at a minimum of $1,000 each to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
