Marie L. Underwood Endowed Scholarship

The Marie L. Underwood Endowed Scholarship was established by Harriett Idell Smith of Huntsville, Texas in memory of her mother Marie L. Underwood. Mrs. Underwood received her Master of Arts degree in English from Sam Houston State University in 1950 and went on to teach English at New Waverly High School for thirty years.
