Tommy Castenson Endowed Scholarship

Tommy Castenson attended Sam Houston State University from 1977 until his untimely death in 1981 at a very young age. While at SHSU, Tommy was an officer of the SHSU Rodeo Club. He was an outstanding young man, who believed that attaining a good education was one of the most important goals a person could achieve. This endowment was established by family and friends to recognize Tommy ’s love and dedication for the sport of rodeo, to emphasize the value of a quality rodeo program at SHSU and demonstrate the importance of education in all chosen fields of learning.
