Kelly Edgar and Ina May Ogletree McAdams Endowed Scholarship

The Kelly Edgar and Ina May Ogletree McAdams Endowed Scholarship was established by Billye McAdams Muecke and Martha McAdams Vertrees, in memory of their parents, Kelly E. McAdams and Ina May Ogletree McAdams to provide financial assistance to deserving senior Journalism students. Mrs. McAdams, a graduate of Sam Houston State University and the University of Texas at Austin, had a distinguished business and professional career, as well as a long history of volunteer, educational, and philanthropic service. Mr. McAdams is a Distinguished Alumnus of SHSU and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture in 1930, followed by a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M, and post graduate work at Cornell University. He was an entrepreneur who enjoyed a career encompassing teaching, contracting and construction, real estate, timber, and oil.
