Nancy Lundgren Hoyt Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Nancy Lundgren Hoty attended Sam Houston majoring in Home Economics Education. She completed her degree at Texas Women’s University. She was a member of the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Central Texas for seven years. Nancy and daughter Emily (Hoyt) Crew were original cast members of the Amazing Race on CBS in 2001. Nancy was a leader in the Methodist Church. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority and loved visiting the campus and seeing the impact our University had on so many young lives. It was her hope that this scholarship would help young educators in the future. Nancy passed away in December 2011.
