Homer Glen Cowan and Billie Caperton Cowan Educational Scholarship

The Homer Glen Cowan and Billie Caperton Cowan Educational Scholarship was established by the Cowan Family Trust, Mary H. Caperton, Dr. Harold W. Havard and the Department of Library Science in 1991 in memory of the Cowan’s and in honor of their many years of dedication to the field of education and their service as mentors and role models to many teachers and other educators. Both Homer and Billie pursed their graduate studies at SHSU.
