Ferol Robinson Endowed Scholarship for Tomorrow's Journalists

Dr. Robinson was a spirited and engaging partner in Sam Houston State University campus life from September 1946 until his retirement in August 1981. Dr. Robinson, a teacher who inspired his students, and a mentor who shared his patience, understanding, wisdom and counsel with all those who sought his guidance, remains an inspiration today to friend and former student Karey Bresenhan. Ms. Bresenhan received her B.S. degree from SHSU in 1962, and a Master of Journalism from The University of Texas in 1969, credits Dr. Robinson’s mentoring and friendship as vital factors in her academic success. This endowment was established by Ms. Bresenhan in honor of beloved retired journalism professor and Vice President for University Affairs, Dr. Ferol Robinson.
