Larry Routh Theatre Production Endowed Scholarship

Larry Routh graduated in 1976 with a B.F.A. in Theatre from Sam Houston State University. Larry returned to SHSU in the role of Technical Director of the Theatre Program in January 1985. He has served SHSU in that capacity for Theatre and Musical Theatre (formerly Theatre and Dance) ever since. When the new Gaertner Performing Arts Center opened he retained the TD position and added PAC Facilities Manager to his title. Larry has been integral to the success, development and continued growth of Theatre, Dance, Musical Theatre and the establishment and organization of the new College of Fine Arts and Mass Communication. Larry Routh has been honored by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for acting and directing. He received the SHSU Staff excellence Award in 1995. This scholarship was established in honor of Larry Routh.
