Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution Endowed Scholarship for Teacher Education

The Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution Endowed Scholarship for Teacher Education was established by the Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Inc., to commemorate the 200th birthday of Texas’ greatest hero, General Sam Houston, to provide financial assistance to deserving students pursuing degrees in teacher education. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide one or more annual scholarship awards to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
