Bonnie and McNeil Moore Football Endowed Scholarship
McNeil Moore played for the Owls his freshman year at Rice University, he chose to continue his academic and football career at Sam Houston State Teacher’s College. While at SHSTC, he set several school records including, the single game rushing record of 286 yards. He continued his football career being drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1954 and playing until a knee injury ended his career in 1957. This scholarship was established by McNeil Moore.
