Fred Blundell Memorial Scholarship

Fred Blundell was born in 1930. He attended Lockhart High School and entered Sam Houston State University in the fall of 1949. He earned his B.S. in Mathematics with a minor in Physical Education in 1953. He went on to earn his Master of Education in 1958. During his time at SHSU, he played football and was a letterman. He married a fellow Bearkat, Patricia A. Thomas who earned her B.S. in History in 1958. He had two sons, Richard and Robert and two stepdaughters, Donna and Paula. This scholarship was established in memory of the donor’s father, Fred H. Blundell.
