Nell Phillips & George Lee Clyburn Memorial Endowed Scholarship

This endowed scholarship was established by Laura and Brad McWilliams of Houston, TX in memory of Laura’s parents, Nell Phiillips and George Lee Clyburn. Both Nell and George graduated from Sam Houston State Teachers College and George played basketball and football. They believed that educating their children was the highest responsibility and that an education would prepare children for life. Establishing this endowment is the best way to honor them.
