Patrick Neal O'Bryant Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Patrick had developed a strong interest in the environment during high school. While attending Sam Houston State University, he took on a weekend job to help pay for his expenses. On a stormy fall evening, headed home from his job, he was killed by a reckless driver. He was only 21. His death caused grief beyond description. Each member of the family wanted to leave something memorable, something kind and caring, like Patrick. This scholarship was established in memory of Patrick Neal O’Bryant by his parents, Julian W. and Freida A. O’Bryant, sister, Jennifer L. O’Bryant, and brother, Jeffery A. O’Bryant.
