Kevin Dodson Memorial Theatre Endowed Scholarship
The Kevin Dodson Memorial Theatre Endowed Scholarship was established by Kyle R. Dodson of New Braunfels, Texas. Kevin and his twin brother Kyle were born in 1962 to T.V and Fern Dodson in Baytown, Texas, they also had two other brothers, Chris and Tim. Kevin attended Sam Houston State and graduated Cum Laude in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching with a major in Theatre and a minor in Communication Studies. Kevin’s love, devotion, and enthusiasm for the Theatre resulted in many innovative contributions to the Theater Program. Kevin was chosen to direct Children of a Lesser God in 1984-1985, and he helped establish the Summer Repertory Theatre. Kevin participated in many productions, but he will be best remembered for his portrayal of Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Kyle also attended Sam Houston State University graduating in 1986 with a BFA in Radio, Television, and Film. He was also a part of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Kyle and his family established this scholarship in memory of their brother/son
