Ron Mafrige College of Business Endowed Scholarship in honor of R. Dean Lewis

R. Dean Lewis earned his M.B.A. at Sam Houston State University in 1967. He began his career at SHSU in 1980 serving as an associate professor of marketing and director of the Small Business Institute overseeing graduate students’ case studies of small businesses. He was named interim dean in 1995 and then dean one year later. Ron Mafrige is a 1960 graduate of the College of Business, former member of the SHSU Alumni Association board of directors, the President’s Circle, and the College of Business Advisory Council. This scholarship was established by Ron Mafrige, Jr. in honor of R. Dean Lewis’s long and distinguished service to Sam Houston State University and the College of Business Administration.
