Ed and Daphne Sower Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Ed and Daphne Sower were children of the depression years. Both would like to have attended college, but neither did because of financial reasons. Both recognized the value of higher education and raised their two children in an environment where college was an expectation. Ed was a Navy veteran of World War II having served on Okinawa. He retired from the Norfolk & Western Railroad after a long career in the accounting department. Daphne was an accomplished secretary working in the legal field. Ed and Daphne’s son, Vic, established the scholarship in memory of his parents and to assist students who need financial assistance in order to complete their degrees.
