Robert and Billie Laroe Turner Endowed Scholarship

The Robert and Billie LaRoe Turner Endowed Scholarship was established by Ronald D. Krist, President of The Krist Foundation in Houston, Texas, in memory of Mr. Robert Turner and in honor of his wife, Mrs. Billie LaRoe Turner. Mr. Turner received his bachelors and masters in Education from Sam Houston State Teachers College and was a football letterman. He was inducted into the Letterman’s Hall of Honor in 1979. Mrs. Turner received her bachelor of arts from Sam Houston State Teachers College and was a member of the marching band.
