Katy and E. Don Walker Sr. Endowed Scholarship

The Katy and E. Don Walker Sr. Endowed Scholarship was established by Everitt Donald Walker, Jr. of San Antonio, Texas in honor and in memory of his parents, Kathryn Keneaster Walker and Everitt Donald Walker, Sr. The Walker Family were and are very dedicated supporters of Sam Houston State University. The Walker’s estate provided funding for the Katy and E. Don Walker Sr. Education Center. Mr. Walker, Sr. received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from SHSTC in 1948. He was a Distinguished Alumnus of SHSU and a former president of the University of Texas System. Mrs. Walker was also a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a BS in History in 1944.
