Fannie Robinson Tyson Endowed Scholarship

Fannie Robinson Tyson was the daughter of Tod and Ora Lee McClanahan Robinson. Her grandfather, William Robinson, first acquired land in now San Jacinto County, Texas in 1838. Her father was engaged in agriculture, mercantile and banking businesses. He was a co-founder of San Jacinto County’s first bank. Upon graduation from Kid Key College in Sherman, Texas, Miss Robinson entered marriage with Thomas Brown Tyson of Lowndesboro, Alabama. She and Thomas resided in Point Blank. This endowment was established in memory of Fannie Robinson Tyson by her children.
