Erma Keefer Farris Endowed Scholarship
The Erma Keefer Farris Endowed Scholarship was established by Maggie Farris Parker and George E. Parker of Houston, TX in memory of Erma Keefer Farris, who was a life-long advocate for learning. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1949 and her Master of Arts in Library Science in 1951, Mrs. Farris taught in the public school system for many year and served as the first music librarian at Sam Houston. This endowment was established by Maggie F. and George E. Parker in memory of Erma Keefer Farris, who was a life-long advocate for learning.
