SHSU's Best Ranger Award

The Military Science Alumni Club was formed by the SHSU Alumni Association in 2013. The membership of the Club consists of current dues­ paying members of the SHSU Alumni Association who are now or have been in the past associated with the Military Science Department of the University. In addition to being a dues-paying member of the Association, members of the Club must have completed at least one semester of the military science curriculum at the University. be a spouse of someone who has done so, or be recognized by the Club for his or her military science education or participation during his or her lifetime. Cadre and former cadre are included. Non-degree alumni, parents of students, and other friends of the University are encouraged to join the Association and participate in Club activities. The group existed informally for over ten years prior to its official association with the SHSU Alumni Association. The primary mission of the Club is to provide scholarship, financial, and leadership support to the Military Science Department of the University, working closely with the Professor of Military Science. the Military Science Cadre, und the student members of the Bearkat Battalion.
