Sofia Victoria Mendez Performing Arts Scholarship

Sofia Victoria Mendez loved to perform music and sing. While attending SHSU, she not only dedicated herself to her classwork, but she also enrolled in private dance, voice and violin lessons as well as Musical Theater seminars. Excellence is not something that comes to you; Excellence is something you have to pursue. It is difficult, it is gut-wrenching and at times it feels like it is unattainable, but if you go the extra mile, you will stand out from the crowd. Sofia Victoria Mendez lived by these words and this scholarship is intended to help a student that shared her passion and drive. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
