Jeff Rohde Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Jeff Rohde was a 1997 graduate of Sant Houston-State University. He was the funniest, most loyal person anyone would be lucky enough to call a friend. When you met Jeff you did not forget him. He had a heart of gold a great sense of humor, and a magnetic personality. Coming from a tight-knit family, that closeness and loyalty transferred to all his relationships. If you were a friend of Jeff’s, he was your friend for life. Jeff loved everything from golf to deep sea fishing to saddle-bronc riding. But what he loved most was just being with his family, and his closest friends. Jeff passed away unexpectedly at the age of 34. This endowment was established after annual golf tournaments were held in his honor. The tournament was a time, once a year, where friends and family came together to honor his memory and raise money for scholarships. Graduating from Sam Houston State University was an important part of Jeff’s life, one he was immensely proud of and he would be honored to know that because of this endowment, others are able to attain this goal as well.
