Greg Lundgren Memorial Athletic Endowed Scholarship

The Greg Lundgren Memorial Athletic Endowed Scholarship was established by John and Nancy L. Hoyt of Waco, Texas in memory of Greg Lundgren. Greg coached and taught at Columbus High School in Columbus, Texas for 23 years. Greg was a passionate athlete. John Hoyt is a 1975 graduate of Sam Houston State University and Nancy Hoyt is 1979 graduate of SHSU. It is the Donors’ intent to provide one or more annual scholarship awards to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. Scholarship awards shall not exceed 80% of the earnings of the endowment. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
