Frank Q. Dobbs Mass Communication Memorial Scholarship

The Frank Q. Dobbs Mass Communication Memorial Scholarship was established by friends and family of Mr. Dobbs from all around the United States. Frank, a native of Huntsville, received his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 1961 from Sam Houston State University. He was an award-winning screenwriter, producer and director. Mr. Dobbs earned national acclaim for playing an instrumental role in bringing the glamour of the motion picture industry to Texas.
