Jim Stevens Information Technology Endowed Scholarship

The Jim Stevens Computer Services Scholarship was created by the Computer Services Department (now IT@Sam) in honor of Jim Stevens, who was a member of the initial three-person team that crated the first Computer Services Department at SHSU. After 36 years of service, Mr. Stevens retired in 2006 as the Associate Vice President for Information Resources. Aside from Jim’s technical vision, his real legacy is the encouragement and leadership he provided to generations of students and staff.
