Army Specialized Training Program Unit 4814 Endowed Scholarship

Members and friends of Army Specialized Training Program (ASTP) Unit 4814, including W.M. Breneman, established the Army Specialized Training Program Unit 4814 Endowed Scholarship Fund in honor of the deceased members, officers, and cadre of Unit 4814, as well as the faculty and administrators of Sam Houston State University who supported the program.

Unit 4814 was established at Sam Houston State University in 1943 during World War II. Due to manpower shortages resulting from unexpectedly high combat casualties, the ASTP was later terminated, and many of its members were reassigned to active combat duty.
