Lt. Colon E. "Tate" Jordan, Sr., Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Lt. Colon E. “Tate” Jordan, Sr., Memorial Scholarship was established by the five sons of Lt. Colon E. “Tate” Jordan, Sr., namely Pat, Paul, Sam, James, and C. Earl Jordan, Jr., and their families, in honor of Lt. Colon E. “Tate” Jordan, Sr.‘s 38 years of service with the Austin Police Department and commemorating the occasion of his retirement on March 29, 1991. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide one or more annual scholarship awards to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. Scholarship awards shall not exceed the earnings of the endowment. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
