Dr. and Mrs. Adrian B. Cooley Scholarship

Dr. and Mrs. Adrian B. Cooley are long time residents of Huntsville. Texas. The Cooleys were the first in their families to attend college and obtained their bachelor degrees from Sam Houston in 1950. Both of them went on to obtain graduate degrees. Many of their relatives followed them to Sam Houston over the years, including all three of their daughters, Cynthia Cooley Trott, Class of 1976, Nancy Cooley, Class of 1980 and Adrianne Cooley Lambeth, Class of 1988. Dr. Cooley taught in the Physics Department at Sam Houston for more than 36 years and received the Outstanding Teacher award in 1980, among other honors. Mrs. Cooley taught in the public schools for more than 32 years and was well loved by both her students and fellow teachers.
