Assam Scholarship Honors Research

The Assam Scholarship was established by Hiranya K. Nath in honor of his home state in India. Assam, the eastern corridor to Southeast Asia, is a region in India that holds enormous potential for economic growth and is rich in natural resources with a pool of highly talented professionals, well-groomed in modern science and technology. Dr. Hiranya K. Nath is a professor of Economics and International Business at Sam Houston State University.
