DeWitte Holleman Baseball Endowed Scholarship

The DeWitte Holleman Baseball Endowed Scholarship was established by Mrs. DeWitte Holleman the wife of the late DeWitte Holleman. DeWitte Holleman served the Sam Houston State administration for thirty-four years, including roles as cashier and accountant. Holleman Field carries his name and the electronic sign at the corner of Bowers Blvd. and Avenue H is dedicated to his memory. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide one or more annual scholarship awards to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. Scholarship awards shall not exceed the earnings of the endowment. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
