Counihan Family Educational Endowed Scholarship

Frank J. and Mary Jennings Counihan had 13 children who were taught at a young age the importance of an education. Agnes, the seventh child, was a high school educator for 35 years. Agnes chose Sam Houston State University as the recipient institution for the Counihan Endowment because her niece, Joyce McCauley, is a professor at SHSU. The entire Counihan family is proud of you who have chosen to devote your lives to teaching the young. They wish every success in the future to the recipients. This scholarship was established in honor of the entire Counihan Family and their love for education.
