Bearkat Baseball and Softball Endowed Scholarship

The Bearkat Baseball and Softball Endowed Scholarship was established through the combining of two former scholarships: the Metro Houston Softball Umpires Endowed Scholarship and the Hayden and Kelsie Malone Baseball Endowed Scholarship. The Metro Houston Softball Umpires Endowed Scholarship was originally established by the Metro Houston Softball Umpires Association of Houston, Texas on December 6, 1980. The Hayden and Kelsie Malone Baseball Endowed Scholarship was originally established by Joanne Malone Ingle and H. Mack Ingle on June 8, 1987. The combining of these two scholarships will honor the original donors by allowing the Bearkat Baseball and Softball Endowed Scholarship to award full-time students in good standing who are also members of the SHSU Baseball or Softball team.
