Carol A. Callahan Journalism Endowed Scholarship

The Carol A. Callahan Journalism Endowed Scholarship was established by the Department of Mass Communication at Sam Houston State University with a gift from the Carol A. Callahan Estate in memory of Carol A. Callahan. Ms. Callahan graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide one or more annual scholarship awards to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. Scholarship awards shall not exceed 80% of the earnings of the endowment. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
