Arthur Beverly and Mary Alice Mays Endowed Scholarship

Mays Scholarships are competitive scholarships awarded in memory of Arthur Beverly Mays and Mary Alice Mays. The Mays Scholarships are awarded to selected students who have been full-time resident students at Sam Houston State University for at least two consecutive years, are of excellent moral character and have demonstrated capabilities as an outstanding student, with great promise of exceptional achievement in their chosen vocation. This scholarship carries a monetary value of $500 for both the fall and spring semester following the date of this award.
