James C. Stallings Endowed Scholarship

The James C. Stallings Endowed Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. James Stallings, retired professor of chemistry Sam Houston State University, to provide financial assistance to students majoring in chemistry. Dr. Winfred M. Harding served as a Professor and Program Coordinator of Chemistry at Sam Houston until his retirement in 1985. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide one or more annual scholarship awards to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. Scholarship awards shall not exceed the earnings of the endowment. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
