Billy Harrell Endowed Scholarship

The Billy Harrell Endowed Scholarship was initiated by Dr. Gordon W. Davis, President/CEO of CEV Multimedia, Inc in Lubbock, Texas and friends of agricultural mechanics to honor Dr. William R. “Billy” Harrell. Dr. Harrell served on the faculty in the Department of Agricultural Sciences at Sam Houston State University for 36 years, serving 10 years as the Department Chair. He is a nationally respected authority in the field of agricultural mechanization. It is the Donor’s intent for the endowment to provide one or more annual scholarship awards at a minimum of $1,000 each to be announced in the spring and disbursed the following academic year, half in the fall and the remaining half in the spring semester. Scholarship awards shall not exceed 80% of the earnings of the endowment. This scholarship was established to assist with education expenses.
